Subject: Important Reminder: Illegal Fireworks Prohibited in Avondale
Dear Residents and Homeowners,
As we approach the Fourth of July, New Years, or any holiday season, we want to remind everyone that the City of Avondale strictly enforces fireworks laws to keep our community safe. The use of illegal fireworks is prohibited, and violations may result in a $1,000 fine per incident by the City of Avondale. Individuals may also be held responsible for any injuries or fires caused by improper fireworks use.
Key Points to Remember:
Only specific types of consumer fireworks are allowed. Fireworks that shoot into the air or explode, such as bottle rockets, firecrackers, and roman candles, are illegal in Avondale.
Fireworks use is only permitted on private property with the owner’s consent. Use on public property, including streets and parks, is strictly prohibited. Rio Crossing HOA does not permit fireworks on Common Areas of the community.
Fireworks can only be used during designated periods: May 4–6, June 24–July 6, December 24–January 3, and the second and third days of Diwali.
Fireworks cannot be sold to anyone under 16 years old.
To report violations, call 623-333-7001. For emergencies, call 9-1-1.

Let’s work together to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for all. Please consider attending a professional fireworks show instead of using fireworks at home.
Thank you for your cooperation.
